Applied Nutrition Prostate Support tub beside three evidence notes: saw palmetto has mixed data, zinc matters if you are low, symptoms need a doctor first

مكملات صحة البروستاتا: البلميط المنشاري والزنك والدليل — الإمارات 2026

الإجابة باختصار

The best trials found saw palmetto no better than placebo for urinary symptoms, and pumpkin seed and lycopene have only limited or dietary evidence. Zinc helps only if you are low, and high doses carry risk. New urinary symptoms need a doctor first, because a supplement cannot tell you what is causing them.

أسئلة شائعة

Does saw palmetto work for an enlarged prostate?
The largest, best-controlled trials found saw palmetto no better than placebo for urinary symptoms, even at three times the usual dose. The 2023 Cochrane review rates this as high-certainty evidence of little to no benefit, though side effects are few.
Is pumpkin seed good for the prostate?
One year-long trial of 1,431 men found a small descriptive benefit for whole pumpkin seed but no difference for the extract on the main analysis. The authors said it needs confirming before it can be recommended.
Should I take zinc for prostate health?
Only enough to cover a shortfall. In a large cohort, zinc up to 100 mg a day showed no link with prostate cancer, but more than 100 mg a day, or ten or more years of use, was linked with higher risk of advanced prostate cancer.
Can supplements prevent prostate cancer?
No supplement has been shown to. In the SELECT trial selenium did not prevent prostate cancer, and vitamin E alone raised the risk by about 17%. Diets rich in cooked tomatoes are associated with lower risk, which is not the same as proof for a pill.
When should I see a doctor about prostate symptoms?
Before you try any supplement. Waking at night to urinate, a weak stream, urgency, blood in urine or semen, or pain can have several causes. Men over 50, or over 45 with a family history, should also ask about screening.
Is Applied Nutrition Prostate Health halal?
Yes. It is halal certified and vegan friendly, made in an ISO 22000, BRC and GMP accredited facility. It is a general nutritional formula, not a treatment for an enlarged prostate.
